Yuck!! I do not write bad reviews often, but this place is a place I stay away from. Its awesome you can not smoke here, but the bouncers just pick people out to throw them out when they did nothing wrong ive seen it happen multiple times & it takes FOREVER to get a drink on weekends. I feel like for a weekend bar, its not worth going to.

Loved the Philly cheesesteak on my first visit so I suggested to a friend that we go. No consistency! My sandwich was dry. They did remake it for me and then it was perfect. Not impressed with the waitress/bartender's service at lunchtime. Seemed preoccupied even though there weren't many people there. The grilled cheese is great!

Maybe the time we came in they had a bad day. It happens. My order consisted of a basic chicken fingers and fries dinner, with a salad. Chicken was hard, fries tasted like fish(looks like they used the same oil). Service was really slow. All we wanted was ketchup and water and it took an extremly long time for that to happen. Customers around me had the same experience. Would not recommend.

Simply put...I had the time of my life this weekend here. Loved it. Great atmosphere! Bar line was long but that's because it was a hot commodity.

We we came here for dinner and treats. Seriously.......you can go to a steak house and they charge you less for a beverage than a corner bar??? We just had to leave and go somewhere else to eat. So sorry for the review

I like any bar that is no smoking. The food is good and I even like the dollar tacos nights that they have every week. Their selection of local and craft beer is awesome and their drink list is pretty good too. I like the laid back atmosphere and the patio on the square is nice for eating outside.

Good for the NWI area. This place has a somewhat better looking crowd (douchy sometimes) but best music compared to the other places, like Growlers. It's a nice change. The place is a bit small and when it gets hopping you have to squeeze through people which can be irritating if you are a easily irritated person, TBH. If you wanna stay in the NWI it's probably one of the better places to go, with a not as trashy crowd.

Updating my review as I feel the food has improved markedly this spring. They are billing themselves and family friendly and they have a family side and an adult side which I think works well. Keep up the improvements!

Safe House is a great addition to the square! The beers are cold and the food is really good! The wings are excellent; large and really crispy. The burgers are huge and homemade. Triple decker grilled cheese with bacon is to die for! The inside is clean, modern and fun with a friendly atmosphere. Live bands, and kids are welcome in the opposite section from the bar.Not only is the service fast and friendly, but the owner is very involved in community organizations and charities. Win win all the way around!

Thank goodness this is a NON Smoking bar in the square!!! I can't believe Indiana still has smoking bars. So gross! I come out to the area about once a month and have suffered with people blowing smoke in my face just so I can have a drink, get out and have some fun. The bar is clean and sleek with a good beer selection. Now, being that I love non smoking, the main reason I keep returning is for the staff. Let's face it, if the staff were a bunch of jerks, I wouldn't be back. But the staff is so friendly and engaging. Customer service is number one.

The overall experience of dining out , can be made exceptional in the first 5 minutes by the personality of the waitress . Sarah G . was the most delightful waitress we have had in a very long time . She gave the impression that she loved her job and the people she served . The food was all very good . The Philly Cheese Steak was excellent and my favorite was the Wings , They had a very good crust on them , I eat wings plain so I cant tell you about the spiciness . But I will go back to have them again . It was great that it was non-smoking and the crowd seemed very cool and laid back . I would recommend trying this place , and have already recommended to my friends .

The interior is not really exciting.. Not much of a theme and pretty bland. The staff seems like it could use a couple extra hands as only 1 waitress was running the bar seating, dining room, and patio at once. She was really good however, very friendly- remembered EVERYTHING! She even got us a table outside when one opened up and let us move from the dining room to patio with no hassle. We ordered a pizza and it took over 45 minutes, but once it came it was better than average and not cold so I know it wasn't sitting out. It is a thin crust, and actually really good for a bar! The menu has only a few options, you're pretty much in for burgers or pizza. Overall I would go back if in the area, but it won't be a top destination.

Went here again last night, another new beer that was amazing. They have 3 Floyds Arctic Panzer Wolf in bomber bottles now. The perfect beer if you are a hop head. Also they had a Samuel Adams pint glass giveaway, buy a pint keep the glass. New great bartender is Demetri....new fav place in the NWI!

Saw good reviews and thought we'd like the place. While the beer selection is pretty good (in bottles, at least), not much else was. Our food came our cold - probably forgotten in the kitchen - we had to walk to the bar to get any service, and the place has no character - like drinking in a Target cafeteria.

Great addition to the Crown Point square. The food is quite good. Tried the burgers & the pizza and was impressed. Great atmosphere at the bar. Bumpin on the weekends and nice chill vibe during the week. Friendly staff and perfect drinks. Would recommend you check it out

I enjoy coming here because during the summer time there aren't many places to sit outside. The service is ok, the waitresses seem to forget about their guests. This last time I visited I decided to order food. Being a vegetarian, it is always hard to find something to eat on a menu at a bar. The waitress said that their grilled cheese was the best, so I decided to go for it. It came with American cheese, Swiss cheese, and tomatoes according to the menu. What the menu left out is it is three slices of bread with maybe one slice of cheese in between. The American cheese was that processed kraft cheese you get a large pack of for a $1 at the grocery store. And did I mention that my grilled cheese was $10??? Oh yeah, it was $10. The table next to me ordered nachos and it looked like the cheap American cheese melted on the chips. Would I come here again? Yes, to sit outside and have some drinks. But I will have to be intoxicated to order the food again.
